From Dining to Coffee Table
A coffee table made from an old dining table. Says Rupert Herring:
"This table is made of oak. It was created by deconstructig and reconfiguring an old 1930s dining table. The legs are turned inside in the same fashion as the balustrade collection, and the top is made of strips with the spaces between allowing light through.
When I acquired the dining set it was covered in glossy polyurethone I cut the top up and exposed the beautiful timber within. The tiger-like flecks are called medullary rays and are found in the best part of the oak i.e. the most stable and I think aesthetically pleasing."
